MarxModa & Herman Miller's Eames Elephant Contest

CBRE's Mary Anne Wilson won our A&D social media contest and will receive a Nevi Sit-to-Stand Desk!

To celebrate the New Year we hosted an Eames Elephant contest for our local Architecture & Design partners. During Charles and Ray Eames’ experiments with plywood that eventually produced the iconic Eames Molded Plywood chair, coffee table, and folding screen, they created many sculptural figures including the adorable Eames Elephant. To celebrate their legacy of creativity and innovation, we asked our A&D partners to design their Eames Elephant and showcase it on social media.

Mary Anne Wilson from CBRE won the contest with her colorful creation.

The interior designers were asked to post their design on Instagram to share it with their followers, and at the end of the month the person whose post had the most likes would win a Nevi desk designed to their specifications, and have it installed in their office.

Kingscott Architecture's John Davids came in second with this geometric design.

We loved seeing the creativity and passion that everyone brought to their design, but in the end Mary Anne won with her colorful gentle giant, closely followed by designs from John Davids of Kingscott Architecture and Amber Brewster of Lindhout Associates.

We will work with Herman Miller to manufacture and install Mary Anne's Nevi, giving her an ergonomic work surface that will make her home office a healthier, happier place.
