As the Chair of Illustration at College for Creative Studies, we were thrilled to have our fellow Detroiter Don Kilpatrick III join us in hosting a night celebrating creativity, inspiration, and design.

Don began his journey in Detroit in 2007 when he began his career at CCS as a faculty member in the Illustration Department. Since then, his work has touched people across Detroit and beyond. From Shinola, to the Little Caesars Arena downtown, his art has lived throughout the city and community.

Guests explored his art that was put on display at MarxModa's Detroit Headquarters for all to enjoy. Don also put on a live demonstration of his block printing technique that shows the process he uses for his creative work.

We are so grateful to have local connections like Don that help us make our Detroit community thrive. Special thank you to Crystal Malone, Lauren Williams, and Amanda Morrill for kickstarting Detroit's Month of Design at MarxModa.
